Fuk-‘hush’-ima: Japan’s new state secrets law gags whistleblowers, raises press freedom fears

"Many issues of national importance to Japan, probably including the state of the Fukushima power plant, may be designated state secrets under a new draft law. Once signed, it could see whistleblowers jailed for up to 10 years."

While all links today are concerned with possibility (as are many I track here), rather than events already in the news, these lead to two additional curiousities, for those who might be interested.

As always, things to keep in the back pocket against future scenarios from St. John's Revelation, for those of us able to hold that future as definite possibility(s) on the horizon before Christ returns

(Note. I tend to groan when I follow a link that leads to Before Its News, but was not able to find the paragraph noted above [that queried where the first-hand accounts of the Fukushima disaster have gone], save at that site. I am aware that many seasoned bloggers do use the site, but it is sufficiently rife with tabloid tales that I prefer to avoid it, even in the apocalyptic/fantastical frame I pursue as a matter of course. Ed.)
