another reprise of the horrific possibility of world-wide economic collapse

McGrath: “Somebody In Government Is Afraid..."

Mac Slavo
9 October 2013

"In fact, the US Treasury Department just released a report indicating that the nation’s debt crisis could lead to a collapse so catastrophic that it could last more than a generation. Whether that happens on October 17, 2013, or five years from now, it’s only a matter of time.

We’re talking scenarios much more severe than the Great Depression.

But this isn’t just happening in America."

The Final Barrier

The Very Reverend Gary R. Hall
Washington National Cathedral
6 October 2013

"In its wisdom, the church came to its senses and labeled both racism and sexism as sinful. And now we find ourselves at the last barrier—call that barrier homophobia, call it heterosexism. We must now have the courage to take the final step and call homophobia and heterosexism what they are. They are sin. Homophobia is a sin. Heterosexism is a sin. Shaming people for whom they love is a sin. Shaming people because their gender identity doesn’t fit neatly into your sense of what it should be is a sin. "

Hat tip: CNS

The love of God chastens, rebukes and disciplines. To another view, it perfects and sanctifies and makes new. To another, it makes holy—it sets aside, makes separate from—what is not holy.

The law written on the heart of all calls to repentance. Where there is no sin, no repentance from sin can be found. That remains the danger of teachings being trumpeted in this hour concerning God's love for all.

Yes, God loves.

That has never been the question.

Do those who redefine the love of the only One who is Love, however, love—and do they love Christ.

This weekend marks the 43rd Atlanta Pride festival. The Atlanta Pride Parade—Atlanta's largest parade, as the LBGT/Gay website for the event proclaims—is held this year on 13 October, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The parade route begins at Peachtree St. & Ralph McGill Blvd. and ends at 10th & Charles Allen Dr.

May God who is Love be with us as this final barrier in this our last hour is crossed...

hoax or real?

Trucker Protest Planned To Shut Down D.C. Beltway: Is 'Truckers Ride For The Constitution' ... Real Or Just A Hoax?

Nadine DeNinno
International Business Times
9 October 2013

"Despite nearly 93,000 "likes" on the "Truckers Ride for the Constitution" Facebook page -- which declares a "GENERAL STRIKE on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013! Truck drivers will not haul freight! Americans can strike in solidarity with truck drivers," the Washington Post declared the entire T2SDA trucker protest a hoax after Conlon retracted the comments he gave to U.S. News."

a prophetic word from a watchman...

Note. Faithful readers know that I have worried for some time because I am not posting a great many worrisome things that are part of the reason I started this blog...

But as yet quail at setting out.

Ran across the following at one of the blogs that I read on a daily basis. I remember it from back when it was originally posted. Because things are hotting up quite so much as they at present are—against that question of how deliberate the current administration might indeed be in stirring the American people up to revolt—I am joining with others and reblogging the vision at this time.

If you are unable to accept that God does still talk to His people in visions and dreams (Joel 2:28), at the least read the post as a part of the pulse of the nation. I am of the Episcopal fold, and might be said to write toward an Episcopal audience (or, at the least, an 'educated' audience), for whom this sort of item might prove more difficult than other portions of the Kingdom would find it.

However, it is that hope to becoming brave enough (if I may) to post things from other corners of the Kingdom of our Lord that has been the driving force behind notes from the dying city, whether I am ever able to grow into the fullness of that force or not.

The vision refers to some events that are in the past now but that does not diminish its power or heart. Readers should note that I do not unequivocally agree with much of what anyone says: we are all called to test what we hear against the knowledge of God each possesses—as individuals and as the Body of Christ.

But echo as always the words of St. Paul to that glass we see through but darkly. In a Kingdom as polarized as both our societies and faith at this point are, peering over the shoulders of those who do not necessarily see things as we see them is a necessary practice.

With that caveat always, of seeing with the eyes of that faith that is set in Jesus Christ, Redeemer and Son of the Living God...

A Warning of the Coming Civil War

Nathan Leal
The Watchman's Cry
16 May 2013

"And the unfortunate truth of this matter is that a civil war of words is going to become a civil war of action. When this thing happens, it is going to change everything.

This is what the powers of darkness want. They want a civil war.

Right now, the despondency of American citizens is growing. The US Government is creating continual policies that impose, oppress and bully.

In the natural, this is a recipe for disaster. "
